Original steel sculpture and limited edition bronzes by the artist...

After squandering my youth and a good size chunk of my adult life on real jobs I've finally come to embrace my destiny as an artist. This sculpture project is something I had always wanted to do "when I get the time." It's finally sunk in that if I keep waiting for my ship to come in I'll just be standing on the dock staring out to sea when I die so I've decided to swim out to meet the ship. This sculpture is something that has been building up inside me for years and seems ready to come pouring out. The first few pieces will for sure be devoted to the flora and fauna of South Texas because that is where I have spent the last thirty or so years (mostly outside). Where it will go from there I can not say because I have many and diverse interests. Most of the skills for doing this sort of thing came from my fascination and involvement with racing motorcycles. The artistic ability I just seem to have been born with. I just never got around to doing anything with it (short attention span - draft - marriage - family - etc. etc. etc.) Now I no longer have time for a real job. If the work itself needs any explanation I will have failed.
